The electrical commission of Zambia has declared Hakainde Hichilema HH of United Part For National Development UPND as the winner of the 2021 August general elections.
Losing 5 times, HH came in success Mazoka( may his soul rest in peace), who was the founder of UPND. He started contesting for presidency since 2006 where to the late Lavy Patrick Mwanawasa.
During this time, he was nicknamed The Under 5, due to the fact that he was the youngest presidential candidate, by Chilufya Michael Sata.
In 2008, he contested again during the by-election s where he lost to Former President Rupiah Bwesani Banda.
In 2011, he lost to The late President Chilufya Michael Sata, also known as The King Cobra.
During Pregnant SATA’s by-election s, HH lost the presidential elections to Edgar Chagwa Lungu, also known as Adada meaning father.
In 2016 again, the two giants mate and HH conceded defeat. Though some issues of petition which were denied by the court of law.
And now finally, the two giants mate for the third time in 2021 general elections and this time, the everlasting opposition HH was more gigantic than the ruling party president ECL. This time people both from rural and urban suffered similar injuries and had only one aim,” to vote”.
12 August 2021, people gathered up in numbers and voted with passion. And the end results were as a football match between Zambia and Netherlands.
The opposition leader Hakainde Hichilema HH, defeated the ruling PF with huge margins, over a million. And 16th August 2021 at 02:00hrs, Hakainde Hichilema of UPND was declared winner of the general elections.
Today 16th August, 2021, the noise of the celebrating Youths still in my heard as they celebrate in happiness, for there prayers have been answered.
There cry for employment, the police unprofessionalism, the brutality by cadres, the hunger situations, the corruption, the expired medicine, the freedom of speech and so on. Let’s hope the newly elected president will answer our prayers.
